Hotel Cermic is really an astounding building. Despite the fact that is one of the masterpieces of Lavirotte, it is regularly ignored by Japanese tourists that walk lazily among restaurants and hotels near the Champs Elysées.
If compared to other works by the same architect, this building is quite simple and not ornate, despite the majolica that decorates the whole facade.
As one could smartly guess from the name, the Hotel Ceramic still serves as an Hotel, and yes, the photo is really terrible. I apologise.
